So I finally went around and checked out other people’s work (clicked the Reader button for the first time in an eternity) and it’s all very inspiring. I am simultaneously wanting to quit for good because there are much better photographers out there and motivated to try a lot harder to improve my skill with the camera.
I’m probably never going to get caught up on everything from the last time I checked buuuut I’ll try and stay on top of it in the future. And again, thanks to anyone who’s stopped in and liked my work as well.
…well, whenever the sun sets tonight wherever you are to whenever it sets on May 1st. Here’s your informative Wikipedia link: Beltane.
I was gonna take the week off of touching old photos and Photoshop but just because it’s Beltane/May Day here’s a summer nature photo from like 2010 or something insane like that. I still can’t believe I survived the 2012 apocalypse.
It’s kinda heavily touched up but whatever. Enjoy it, I may not bombard your inboxes for a little while because like, I need a break from postprocessing and sorting.
Water Lilies and stuff. I mean, I think that’s what it is. I could be wrong. It’s still a pretty picture.
Also it’s a redone, cropped to scale version of the oldest still public post on this site if it looks familiar (in other words I should be able to make prints of it, unlike the other one).
Here’s how it’s going to work: I’m going to add work to the Gloom project page as I make it, and I’ll put them in the newsfeed before adding them to it.
It’s sort of a constantly incomplete project I’ll be adding to in bits and pieces. Go check it out if you haven’t alerady.
More Niflheimesque gloomy underworld photography.
I also did a panorama through the same filters, and I’m going to make a little mini-gallery of all of them through the same filters. When they’re done I’ll put these two with them and you can all see how this is your Belle Isle on darkness.
