So here’s the latest gallery from Matthews County; just a short walk up and down Haven Beach in the mid to late afternoon.
This will probably be the last photo set I post here, on the free WordPress servers; when it’s ready, i.e., next Sunday at the latest, I’ll put a link to the new site and a brief announcement. I am not sure how long I’ll leave this site up and running; it’ll probably just have everything stripped of it and a single post redirecting everyone to the new one.
In bad news I might’ve messed up my car a little doing something stupid (pulled off the road way too fast and the brakes started acting funny) so I’ll probably be holed up organizing my existing work to date to put on the new site as well as working on a few writing projects (which the new site will also cover in the future) until that gets sorted out.
The new site is using WordPress as its CMS, so there should be someway or another to follow it. Anyway, that covers it til next Sunday.
I did a little more travelling today and shot Culpeper and Orange (both in Virginia). So there’s a few more galleries on the way, here’s a few shots from Culpeper. One’s a church gate, one’s a display in a storefront window, and the third (in color and black and white) is of some storefronts on a street with a few shoppers on the sidewalk.
If the wanderlust ever leaves my system for a day or so I may actually get through the backlog and post everything; as it is I just find myself compelled to hit the highway.
In good news people are actually showing up in my photographs and I’m getting the hang of urban photography. Apart from that I am considering moving in a few new directions (I’ll still be doing old subject matter- i.e., nature and night photography) and I’ll post an update with details on that in a bit, probably no later than tomorrow sometime.
Since I’m an insomniac tonight, here’s another set (there should be maybe one more gallery from that shoot). Some are black and white, some are color, one is in both versions…just a few shots of the town.
I did as I usually do these days and hit the highway, stopping in Gloucester Village to practice urban photography. Above we’ve got a few shots (the black and white one is of an abandoned building obviously, but very very heavily photoshopped) from today.
Coming up in the next few posts, there’ll be one more set from the last visit to Colonial Williamsburg sometime soon and at least another one from today of Gloucester Village.
Here’s the first gallery from the Williamsburg shots; there’ll be a second gallery with the remaining shots sometime soon.
